First off thank you for taking the time to visit our workshop page. We welcome all levels of photographers from beginner to advanced to join us on one of our many adventures within Japan.

I am fully licensed, insured and meet all regulatory laws to run and operate group photography workshops within Japan. Most workshops/tours coming over to Japan are NOT! Along with my wife Yumiko we have worked hard to navigate all the requirements to run and operate legally in Japan in order to provide our clients the peace of mind knowing everything we do is legal and above board. There are many choices to choose from when deciding to come to Japan for a photography workshop. When deciding your next Japan adventure, make sure they are reputable and legal! We are! 

I also hold CPR, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) (First Aid +) certifications and routinely train on all mentioned to keep current. With 24 years of experience in military planning there is no stone left unturned when it comes to planning out a workshop. Attention to detail is key in all the planning that goes into our workshops giving our clients the best opportunity to come away with a memorable experience. We are all about flexibility and adapting to the conditions and having fun during your once in a lifetime Japan experience.

 Lessons will include both in field techniques and post processing images. In-field instruction will consist of seeing and developing compositions, understanding light, and learning to see through the chaos. We will also learn how to use the right camera settings and how this changes given the various conditions and subject. Post processing work involves using both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
